Syntax is a branch of linguistics that explains sentence structure. This study aims to discover what types sentences are used in motivational quotes, which frequently emerge and describe structure utilizing tree diagram. research employs the descriptive qualitative technique. The involved multiple processes data collection, including; reading novel's text, choosing quotes contained novel Atomic Habits, writing down all selected for analysis. were analyzed using Noam Chomsky’s theory “Transformational Generative Grammar”. result shows from Habits have sentences. In addition, researcher also found novel, namely 22 simple sentences, 2 compound five complex one compound-complex sentence. So, dominant quote has various can be help English learners improve skills text or essay according grammatical rules.
